Sure, myname is Thomas Sandvik 21 years old and I am the captain of Team Convention. KF3is for sure one of the best players I've ever played with and usually is theguy who puts up the big numbers on the scoreboard and clutch rounds. syrtekZ,great rifle guy who also like those 1onx situations. drei, our main awper andthe bodyguard in the team I guess. nOLA, big talent, amazing aim and Imexpecting him to shine at GG.
You will beattending GameGune 2007 starting this Friday. What are your expectations aboutthe event, and your team?
Well Iexpect it to be great tourney with no delays, guitar hero crap, just a protournament I guess. For Team Convention I expect us to play our game and fromthere anything could happen.
Last eventyou attended were WSVG in Louisville, you lost to NiP in the lower bracket. Didyou expect to go further, or are you satisfied with the team performance or areyou desperate to perform better?
First offall, If we had knew that WSVG was so piss poor we really had never gone overthere. The delays, for example we waited 8 hours until midnight to receive themessage that we would be playing the next day. The sound level was horrible, wewas told that ventrilo was not allowed, TFT monitors has really nothing withfps games to do. It’s just a totally different story. Just want to state thatthe Turmoil game we lost, we sat 10 meters from the guitar looser stand withoutventrilo and had no sound, they however was seated in the other end of theevent and used ventrilo. Worst event ever, wish them good luck in the searchfor the next guitar hero.
Have youdone any major preparations for the upcoming GameGune?
BeforeGameGune we have practice online and we have worked really hard to fix some ofour mistakes in our gameplay. Hopefully it will pay off at GameGune.
How doesyour team stay motivated through a tournament, even if you lose a few matches?
Well it alwaysfeels bad after a loss, you just have to focus on the next game and play your heartout.
What do you do the last 15 minutes before animportant match?
Well usually we repeat pistolrounds and thefirst gunround. Other then that just play to get ourselves warmed up.
Who do youthink will come out on top, and who will be the big disappointment at GameGune?
Well after PGS amazing run at ESWC Its hard for me to see a team that couldbeat them in the race for the first place, maybe fnatic. Who will disappoint?I've honestly now idea.
Your teamis in group C, with mibr, myw, team-mushkin and aCv. How do you see yourchances of advancing to the brackets?
If we don'tfinish top2 in that group we really have nothing there to do. So of course Iexpect us to get pass the group stage.
Lots ofgreat international teams will be attending GameGune, do you fear any teams?
We don’tfear any teams, but of course we have great respect for all teams.
Who do youthink will fight for the 12.000€ in the final?
PGS andfnatic.
