TyLoo has won the inaugural K1 League Season 1 after besting New4 in the grand finals to win the 100,000 RMB (~$15,740) first place prize. ETeng placed third over MI5.
TyLoo managed to come out on top of group B with full six points and advance to the semi-finals where they met ETeng, who eliminated Natus Vincere and secured a second place in group A which ended in a three way tie.
The first semi-final saw TyLoo overcome ETeng in a very close series, securing a 2-0 best-of-three victory with scores of 18-16 and 17-13 on de_nuke and de_inferno respectively. In the other semi-final MI5 was paired up against New4. First map was de_tuscan where New4 clinched a 13-12 win. They secured the series with a 18-12 win on de_dust2.
TyLoo secure yet another title in China
Prior to the third place finisher, the organizers invited two former legendary Chinese teams, wNv Gaming and AllStrike, to participate in a showmatch in Shanghai. The two time WEG champions would go on to win 15-12 on de_inferno. ETeng proved their superiority over MI5 in the third place decider, securing an easy 2-0 win.
The grand final was a lot more anti climatic than the semi-final as TyLoo wasted no time taking down New4 14-6 on de_inferno and 14-9 on de_nuke to win K1 League 2012 Season 1.
